Use the Same Browser Each Time

This app saves your recipes and notes to the browser you're currently using — not to the cloud. If you switch to a different browser (or a different computer), those saved recipes won't be there, even though the file itself is identical.

If you get an updated copy of this file later, save it with the same filename, in the same folder, so it overwrites the old one — your saved data is tied to that file's location, not its contents, so it carries over automatically. If your browser saves it as a new file instead (like "curing-log (1).html"), use Export All Recipes on the old file first and Import Recipes on the new one.

No Saved Recipes Found

This copy of the app doesn't have any saved recipes yet. If you exported a backup from another copy — say, right before replacing this file — import it now to bring everything back in one step.

Replacing This Program with a New Version

Your saved recipes live in this browser, tied to this file's exact name and location — not inside the file itself. Follow these steps in order and nothing gets lost.

  1. Export your current recipes first. Click "Export All Recipes" above. This downloads a backup file — your safety net no matter what happens in the steps below.
  2. Get the new version. Download the updated file from wherever you're getting it (Claude, a colleague, etc.).
  3. Save it over the old file. When your browser asks where to save, pick the exact same folder and exact same filename as the file you're replacing, and confirm you want to overwrite it. This is what carries your data over automatically.
  4. Open it and check. Double-click the file as usual, then open My Recipes and confirm your saved recipes are still there.
  5. If they're missing, import your backup. Click "Import Recipes" above and select the file from step 1 — this brings everything back regardless of what your browser did with the filename.

Sharing this file with someone else? Pass along the same advice — their saved recipes live in their browser the same way yours do here, and this app can't warn them about that on your behalf.
